1. What cookies are
Cookies are small values stored by a browser and sent with later requests. Similar browser storage, such as local storage, may retain a preference without being sent on every request. This policy covers both where they serve the same user-facing purpose.
2. Intended essential storage
| Item | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| dv_guest | Set only after a guest saves or uses an AI feature, for allowance enforcement and continuity. | One year after it is set. |
| Authentication cookies | Keeps a signed-in account secure and supports sign-in callbacks. | Provider-controlled session duration; final names must be listed. |
| Security and checkout cookies | Prevents fraud, preserves checkout state, and applies subscription entitlements. | Final provider and duration are launch blockers. |
3. Analytics and marketing
DosVermuts will not set non-essential analytics or marketing cookies before obtaining consent where required. If they are introduced, the banner must make Accept and Reject equally easy, keep them disabled before choice, and provide a persistent way to change that choice. The vendor, purpose, duration, and international-transfer information must be added here before activation.
4. Managing storage
You can delete or block cookies in browser settings. Blocking essential authentication or security storage may prevent sign-in, saved-content sync, quota continuity, or checkout. Rejecting optional analytics must not block the core service.
5. Changes
This page will be updated when a provider, cookie, purpose, or duration changes. Consent will be requested again where the law requires it. Cookie questions can be sent to support@dosvermuts.com.
